Report: Johnson City man crashed into parked car after falling asleep, arrested for DUI

A Johnson City man was arrested Wednesday after reportedly falling asleep at the wheel in a parking lot, then crashing. According to a report, Michael E. Grindstaff, 33, crashed into another vehicle at the Boones Creek Food City.
An investigation revealed that Grindstaff was under the influence, and during a search to tow the vehicle, officers found felony amounts of both meth and heroin, as well as a small amount of marijuana. Michael Grindstaff was arrested on a $50,000 bond.
