Virginia Expecting Historic Enrollment For Early Childhood Education
As Virginia’s First Lady, Pamela Northam visits students and child care providers in southwest Virginia on Wednesday, her husband, Governor Ralph Northam is announcing the Commonwealth is expected to see historic enrollment in early childhood education for the upcoming school year. The state’s two largest state funded preschool programs will be receiving a combined 212 million dollars in funding as education officials anticipate serving more than 20 thousand children. Pamela Northam visited with students and educators in Abingdon, Grundy and Richlands Virginia on Wednesday to discuss early childhood education issues in the region.
