Invite A Shelter Pet To Attend Your Zoom Calls
This is exactly what every Zoom meeting is missing. The adorable face of an adoptable shelter pet. The brilliant minds at Richmond Animal Care and Control in Richmond, VA have created a new program that allows companies, schools, and individuals, no matter where you live, to invite a homeless cat, kitten or dog to participate in your virtual meetings.
Breaking up the tension and bringing laughter and joy to yet another Zoom meeting is one benefit but, saving the life a lovable, adoptable pet is the true goal. In an article by The Dodo, Christie Chipps Peters, director of RACC said, “We were just thinking of something we could do that would make people smile. We are surrounded by animals every day, and we really do understand the love and comfort that comes from them. I think it’s such a wonderful thing to be able to share with other people in such a trying time right now.”
According to The Dodo, “Including a furry “coworker” is almost as simple as letting your cat stroll across your keyboard. To get started, simply email the shelter and specify the time and date of your meeting and what type of animal you would like to host. You can request a specific animal, or just give a few details about the kind of participant you’re looking for.
