Tennessee Motorists’ Getting New, Re-designed License Plates

Tennessee motorists have spoken. More than 300 thousand Tennessee residents have voted and selected a new, redesigned, Tennessee License plate. Celebrating 225 years as a state, Tennesseans selected the winning design that depicts the Volunteer State’s unique three grand divisions. The new plates feature a blue background with white lettering, and a circle with three stars inside representing the states three grand divisions. The new plates will be available online and in person beginning January 3.
