Backpack Buddy program provides 375 local children with food and shoes

Food City recently partnered with Samaritans Feet and Coca-Cola to provide food and clothing items to children in need. Students in the Johnson City area received backpacks filled with non-perishable food and totes with shoes and accessories. Volunteers from Food City and Coca-Cola worked to assemble the backpacks. Organizers say around 375 children received these much-needed items, which were taken to South Side Elementary for distribution across the city.
