NEW: More than $174,000 headed to Hurley to help with flood relief efforts
More than $174,000 is being allocated to long-term recovery efforts for the Hurley area of Buchanan County, Virginia still reeling from a devastating flood in August.
Virginia Senators Tim Kaine and Mark Warner and Congressman Morgan Griffith announced the funding which will be awarded to the United Way of SW Virginia through the Appalachian Regional Commission for a public-private partnership supporting the victims.
