Police: Suspect in Johnson City kidnapping contacted victim from jail
One of two suspects jailed earlier this week after police said they forcibly made their way into a Johnson City apartment and threatened the victim at gunpoint is facing more charges.
Malik Williams, 22, is now facing coercion and violating a protective order after investigators said Williams contacted the same victim using another inmate’s jail-issued texting device.
Williams’ bond has now been increased to $125,000 and he is set for arraignment in Sessions Court. He was charged earlier this week with aggravated kidnapping and aggravated domestic assault.
