Flu cases in TN one of highest in U.S.

Tennessee currently has one of the highest flu rates in the country, and both Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia have among the highest rates in their respective states. Tri Cities health officials say the surge in cases is about the same as most influenza seasons, but it’s happening earlier this year. Officials recommend getting your flu shot now if you haven’t already done so. Hand washing, staying home when sick, and masking in public if you show symptoms or if you have a chronic breathing condition, are also recommended
