New motions filed in one of the lawsuits against Johnson City
The City of Johnson City and its former police chief are asking a judge to throw out a federal lawsuit filed by former prosecutor Kat Dahl, related to accused rapist Sean Williams and Dahl’s dismissal. Attorneys for the city and for former Johnson City Police Department Chief, Karl Turner, each filed motions for summary judgment. The trial is currently scheduled for this May, if the motions are upheld by a judge, it would effectively end the case. Opposing motions from Dahl’s attorneys are expected to be filed in response.
