Another ATM theft in the Tri Cities reported

Officers responded to an ATM alarm shortly before 5 a.m. Monday at the Greeneville Federal Bank on Tusculum Boulevard. Officers found a truck backed up to the ATM with a chain attached to the back. The amount of cash stolen was not reported. T he burglary matches others reported in the region since October. Three ATMs in Johnson City, another in Mosheim in November. The Carter County Bank ATM on Milligan Highway was targeted and a Roan Mountain ATM was broken into using a skid steer. A North Carolina man was arrested for the Roan Mountain burglary, but that theft is not believed to be connected to the others.
