Dolly’s signature song gets Dollywood festival to celebrate 50th anniversary

One of the best-selling songs of all time penned by Tennessee treasure Dolly Parton is getting its own tribute at her Pigeon Forge theme park.

Dollywood planners have announced a celebration of “I Will Always Love You” this year as the song turns 50 years old.

A Songwriter’s Showcase, a concert series featuring several acts including American Idol contestant Lauren Alania, and daily musical tributes in the park are planned. Dollywood will also have a special line of merchandise on sale to commemorate the song and festival.
