‘Game Of Thrones’ Fans Are Going To Have To Wait For Season 8

Sophie Turner, who plays Sansa Stark, was asked if she was excited for 2018, when she let slip that the show will not debut until 2019:

“Yeah, I’m really excited. “Game of Thrones” comes out in 2019. “Dark Phoenix” is in November. Then I have a couple indie movies coming out. I’m a producer on my next movie. So I’m really excited about the future.”

Turner said that they are currently filming season 8, but still have “six or seven months left.” The final season is only going to be 6 episodes long, but each episode will be the length of a feature film.
