Hurricane clean-up, fix-up jobs available in Northeast Tennessee at $25 per hour
The Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce said adults interested in helping with flood recovery in Northeast Tennessee while earning $25 an hour need to sign up online.
The agency’s report said the positions currently being advertised include debris removal and fixing infrastructure.
The Tennessee CAREs grant program, a coordinated effort by the First Tennessee Development District and the East Tennessee Human Resource Agency (ETHRA) funded by the National Dislocated Worker Grant, will give eligible Tennesseans part-time employment opportunities.
Projects exist in 13 counties including all those with hurricane damage in and around the Tri-Cities.
