JC and Washington County Libraries receive tech grants

The Johnson City Public Library and Washington County Public Library were awarded funding for new equipment. A press release from Tennessee Secretary of State Tre Hargett and three local lawmakers stated about $14,000 in Technology Grant funding was awarded to the libraries. The grants are administered by the Tennessee State Library & Archives, a division of Secretary of State’s office. The Johnson City Public Library was awarded most of that funding and will use it for new desktops and a new server. State Senator Rusty Crowe and state Reps. Rebecca Alexander and Tim Hicks said investing in the public libraries will benefit their communities.
