JC Police arrest teenager after carjacking
Johnson City Police have arrested a teenager accused of putting a gun to a man’s head before stealing a vehicle in Johnson City. Officers responded to the 2900 block of Plymouth Road at around 8:45 p.m. on Monday to a carjacking report. The victim told police he was sitting in his car when the suspect approached, put a gun to his head, and demanded he get out. The victim complied, and the suspect drove away in the vehicle. The 17-year-old suspect was located at a house in Jonesborough along with the stolen car. He was arrested and charged with carjacking and theft and taken to the Upper East Tennessee Regional Juvenile Detention Facility.
