Police Arrest Registered Sex Offender And Mother Who Left Child Alone With Felon

A registered sex offender, and the mother of a male child she left along with the felon are to appear in a Washington County Tennessee Courtroom Monday. JCPD arrested Robert Walsh of Johnson City and charged him with three counts of violation of the Sex Offender Registry and a Felony Hand Gun Violation. The arrest came after officers found Walsh alone with the child in a hotel room. The child was left in the room by his mother, Kathleen Smith. Smith was arrested and charged with Filing a False Report after investigators determined information she provided about the incident were proven false.
