Police: Jonesborough drunk driver narrowly misses pedestrian and crashes into home

A Jonesborough woman escaped serious injury while walking her dog when a drunk driver ran off the road and crashed into part of a home.
The incident occurred off Old Jonesboro Road and resulted in Richard Shane King-Jessee, 27, being charged on multiple counts including reckless endangerment.
The suspect tried to dupe police by first calling 9-1-1 and stating no accident had occurred. King-Jessee then told responding officers that something ran out in front of him, causing him to swerve.
The report also noted that his car was not equipped with a court-ordered interlock ignition device from a prior DUI conviction.
