Road work to impact travel near Knob Creek Road in JC

According to Johnson City officials, road work on a section of Peoples Street near Knob Creek Road will impact traffic next week. Lane closures will be in place while crews work to extend the right turn lane on Peoples Street from the First Horizon Bank entrance to Knob Creek Road beginning Monday, June 17. The lane closures will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. The work is expected to take around four weeks, weather permitting. Drivers who cannot avoid the area should expect delays.
