Salvation Army of Johnson City receives donation for veteran’s wing
The Salvation Army of Johnson City just received a $10,000 donation to support the construction of a new veteran’s wing at the shelter. The donation was presented by The Regions Foundation of Tennessee, and will help fund a 15-room addition to the shelter specifically for veterans. The area will have single-occupancy rooms and an outdoor courtyard. Salvation Army officials say additional funds for the project are still needed and donations can be made online at the Johnson City Salvation Army website.
