TN hunting and fishing licenses likely to increase
The Tennessee Fish and Wildlife Commission will vote on an increase in the price of hunting and fishing licenses, as well as boat registration fees, at its final 2024 meeting which will be held Thursday and Friday in Memphis. Committee meetings begin Thursday with full Commission proceedings continuing Friday. The measure is expected to pass and if it does, the average license cost will increase by 28 percent. The basic hunting & fishing license will increase from $33 to $42. The annual “Sportsman’s License,” that covers almost all hunting and fishing will increase from $165 to $185. The TFWC is the governing body over the staff of the Tennessee Fish and Wildlife Resources Agency and are responsible for all rules and regulations governing hunters and fishermen in Tennessee.
