TVA: Boat ramp closed near Boone Dam for equipment removal

The Tennessee Valley Authority has announced one of two boat ramps off Minga Road near Boone Dam will be closed temporarily. TVA says the lower access ramp will be closed Thursday and Friday. The lower parking lot will also be roped off to prevent access, but the road through the parking lot will remain open. Workers will be disassembling some equipment and that is prompting the closure. TVA says the upper access boat ramp further from Minga Road will stay open, and the upper parking lot will still allow parking.
