VDOT announces Thanksgiving Holiday work zone suspension

The Thanksgiving holiday next week means more people traveling on the roadways. VDOT just announced that they will be suspending many highway work zones and lifting most lane closures on interstates and other major roads from noon on Wednesday, November 27 until noon on Monday, December 2. While lane closures will be lifted in most locations, motorists may still encounter semi-permanent work zones that will remain in place during this time.
