WATCH: Drake Surprises 11-Year-Old Patient After Heart Surgery

Sofia has been diagnosed with cardiomyopathy, a condition that often leads to heart failure and need for a heart transplant to survive. She has had open heart surgery to connect an assist device to help support the heart and blood flow. A few days before her birthday, the hospital did an #InMyFeelingsVideo with her cousin in the hallway of the hospital. Sofia then taped a video message asking Drake to visit her. The hospital says, “The two bonded over Justin Bieber, basketball and Drake’s two dogs. Then they took selfies, exchanged autographs and together they sang his hit song, ‘God’s Plan,’ Sofia’s favorite.”
